Without Faith it is Impossible to Please God

Faith in God makes you an asset not a liability.  You are not here to please the world or the flesh.  You are here to show the world an image of God.  You are showing God that his purpose for you and your faith in the Word is working for the benefit of all.

His plan and purpose were ordained and established when he created Man.  Anything that has to do with God's creation, I repeat God's creation, the devil and his cohorts have tried to corrupt and alter God's plan for how it is to operate.  All alterations from God's plan for male, female functions, he (Satan) has altered.  At the fall of Adam, Satan went about attacking everything God created, and God's purpose for that creation.  Satan's big trick was to blame God for the evil creatures, sickness, famine, wars, climate change...etc.

Years ago, I did a study  on Solomon and his writings on the Book of Proverbs. I found he could not keep the Proverbs, so he wrote them. The Book of Proverbs needs for its complement the New Testament explanation of helplessness and offer of help.  For example, John 15:5 points out that without God we can do nothing.  Jesus says in John 6:37, that none will be cast out that come to Him.  Those who care most for self are those in whom self becomes thoroughly subjected and enslaved to external influences.

These individuals become more and more a victim of circumstances, until at last they have no more freedom than the unsaved brute (Psalm 49:20).  They must recognize before their death they must turn to God.  Could a man make this without total knowledge of when that hour will come? Not always knowing the exact time when this will occur, then let us repent about man's open access to God that the denial to man of all ability, whether natural or moral, to turn himself to God or to do that which is truly good in God's sight.  This does not imply a denial of man's power to order his external life in many particulars conformable to moral rules or even to attain the praise of men for virtue.

This is still not a way to go for a replacing of the heart to get away from the commitment to receive the embodiment of Jesus Christ and His way of entering into the Kingdom of God.  Man has a range of freedom in acting out his nature, and he may to a certain limited extent act upon that nature and modify it by isolated volitions, externally conformed to God's law. He may choose higher or lower forms of selfish action and may pursue these chosen courses with various degrees of selfish energy.  Freedom of choice within this limitation is by no means incompatible with complete bondage of the will in spiritual things (John 1:13). This must take place in the spirit of a man and not through external ordinances such as water baptism...etc.

This must be applied in the human spirit.  Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to Him.  It must be courage of the soul in which God is working anew, by His Spirit, on your spirit, to give life to that spirit which was dominated by original sin.  You would come to say that I alone should be able to save myself, but I am not able.  Man recognizes the need for repentance based on his understanding of God's renewing grace.  This understanding coupled with God's grace places man on a path of living a repentant life.  This conversion, is a voluntary change, in the mind of any saint, to at all times, under all conditions, to walk by faith in order to please God.

A part from special grace, all the ability which man at present possesses comes far short of fulfilling the spiritual demand of God's word.  So salvation without the baptism of the Holy Spirit only works as an external mental offering to God.  The Holy Spirit invades your very being with conversion, ethics, and power to please God.  Today, we have too many unethical ministers teaching and preaching an external immoral message.  I say this because it assigns all kingdom activities to external approval, never challenged by the Spirit of God to please God living totally by faith.  The external view of the believer should be the internal work of the image of God.

The man that is saved by his fall, into a state of sin as a lifestyle, has wholly lost all ability of will to any spiritual good accompanying salvation.  So, as a natural man, being altogether averse from that good and dead in sin, he is not able, by his own strength, to convert himself, or to prepare others as a pastor, teacher, to develop a life of conversion, and ethics that lives may be an example of Holiness that is well pleasing to God.  Therefore, there is no evidence of living by faith.  For true faith is a submitting to the purpose and plan of God for your life, so when folks see you, God can say He is working through you to receive the glory.
