The Lord of the Harvest
The
Lord of the Harvest
Who controls the harvest? For
churches who will wage the war and garner the harvest, there will be colossal
growth. We must come to expect churches of ten thousand plus. There will be
colossal growth. Yet,
many Christians have been so beat down that they find it difficult to believe
God for such a harvest
More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of. This earth and its inhabitants by judicial right belongs to God. Although, the devil is the Prince of the Power of the Air, this planet does not belong to him. This earth and it’s inhabitants by judicial right belongs to God. “The earth is the Lords and all its fullness.” Psalms 24:1

Humanity does not belong to Satan but to God. If smart ideas could get the job done, then our seminaries should be lighthouses of evangelistic genius, with no unevangelized people for miles around. No, Satan is not in charge of the harvest. Neither are we. Jesus is the Lord of the Harvest. The harvest is truly is plentiful, but the pray laborers are few. Jesus is the arbiter of the harvest. If Jesus is in control of the harvest, then the natural question is: “How large does he want the harvest to be?” II Peter 3:9
We must rescue, by prayer, the lost and misguided. There is a world, with its need entirely dependent on and waiting to be helped by intercession; there is a church with its wondrous calling waiting to be roused to a sense of its supernatural power and responsibility. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the Saints. (Eph. 6:18) He goes on to request prayer for boldness and an open door for preaching the gospel. The greatest agency put in man’s hand prayer. I Tim. 2:1-4 When we pray for harvest, we are to pray for our leaders and our nation. Don’t pray for judgment no, it is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance, Rom. 2:4
Derek Prince has said, “the initiative in the world affairs is with God and his people.” No one is saved except in answer to someone’s prayer. There is a place where thou canst say, ARISE.
Does it work?
Church on the rock is the example. They have experienced staggering growth. In one year, 1985, they received over 4000 people into their fellowship. The evangelistic program of their church is the daily prayer meeting!!! It is at these meetings that we should bind the demons, spirits that hinder the growth of our church. We must ask God for a “Faith Level” to believe him for the harvest.

(50
people per week)
If the harvest falls
off more than a week, we see that as a spiritual red light, and seek the Lord
for more souls. When this does not do what we want the Bible says some come out
but by prayer and fasting.
How to pray for the harvest:
As we pray for the release of the harvest, we should
remember several things:
1st-We should pray committed. Acts 3:1
2nd-We should pray fervently. Prayer is
invading the impossible. James 5:16
3rd-We should pray specifically. Matt.16:19
4th- We should pray united. This was one of
the real keys to the effectiveness of the
early church.
5th-We
should pray persistently. Luke 11:9
6th-We
should pray boldly. We know that it is God’s will to save the lost.
Finally, we should pray expectantly (I John 5:14-15). Intercession to be lead before every meeting.
Vision
of the Church
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come into your
presence thanking you for Artesian Well Church. You have called us to be saints
in Long Beach and around the world. As we lift our voices in one accord, we
recognize that you are God, and everything was made by and for you. We call
into being those things that be not as though they were. We thank you that we
all speak the same thing: there is no division among us; we are perfectly
joined together in the same mind. Grant unto us you representatives here, a boldness
to speak your word which you will confirm with signs following. We thank you
that we have workmen in abundance and all manner of cunning people for every
manner of work. Each department operates in the excellence of ministry and
intercessions. We have in our church the ministry gifts for the edifying of
this body till we all come into unity of the Faith, and the knowledge of the son
of God, unto a mature person. None of our people will be children, tossed to
and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine. We speak the truth in
love. We are a growing witnessing body of believers becoming 5,000 strong. We
have every need met. Therefore, we meet the needs of the people who come-
spirit, soul, and body. We ask for the wisdom of God in meeting these needs.
Father, we thank you for the ministry facilities that will more than meet the
needs of the ministry you have called us to. Our church is prospering financially,
and we have more than enough to meet every situation.. We have everything we
need to carry out your greatest commission and reach the Long Beach, Los
Angeles County Area for Jesus. We
are a people of love as love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
We thank you that the Word of God is living big in all of us and Jesus is Lord!
We
are a supernatural church, composed of supernatural people doing supernatural
things, for we are laborers together with God. We thank you for your presence
among us and we lift our hands and praise your HOLY NAME!
