ARE YOU FREE?

You can see for yourself in John 8:29, it states “I do always those things which please him”. How often did the Lord Jesus do those things which pleased the Father? Always!!!

That was the nature of the sinlessness of His humanity. This was the character of His normality. This was the perfect liberty of God’s son (the true meaning of Liberty). We say “I’ll do as I please” and imagine that this represents the liberty we enjoy, the freedom that the Lord Jesus enjoyed. It is given to you and me. The Lord Jesus was always at liberty to do only those things that pleased his Father. That is freedom. In other terms Jesus may be saying “I’ve entered into no engagement, I’ve made no friendship”, “I’ve indebted myself to nobody nor am I under obligation to anybody anywhere at any time”. That’s Freedom.

Hebrews 11:5-6 - in the fifth chapter first we are told that Enoch was translated that he should not see death and was not found, because God had translated him. Before his translation he had the testimony, that he pleased God. There is also an expiration date on troubles, they don't last always! You must continue to please God! The premise upon which a man, woman, or child can please God is in verse 6 - “without Faith it is impossible to please him”.

So I ask are you free? Are you really free? If the son shall make you free you shall be free indeed, and in all your deeds. It means that you will decide to do that which exclusively pleases Christ. If you say have done no things like this, that it is impossible at all times to do only that which pleases Christ then you're no longer free. The Lord Jesus was free at all times to do that pleased his Father. He said as my Father sent me, I send you.

We can never put aside what God has planned and Decreed. He doesn't ask you to reserve a few hours in the week when you have some religious fellowship with a few friends. We are to go out into the world and be available to God 24 hours a day. This is so that no matter what circumstance you're always available to do as He pleases, and you'll be free.

The bible doesn't say you only partially please Him, it doesn't say you may perhaps please Him, it says without faith it is impossible to please him. If you and I were created to please God, and without faith it is impossible to please God, then quite obviously faith isn't a luxury. God is not looking for a Religious Faith as the origin of your faith. A true metamorphosis is Jesus as a way of life. The Christian Life as a whole must be seen with an increasingly spiritual understanding and not merely a religious or natural one.
