DIFFICULT TIMES AHEAD

2 Timothy 3:1-9 The Message (MSG)
Difficult Times Ahead
3 1-5 Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people.
6-9 These are the kind of people who smooth-talk themselves into the homes of unstable and needy women and take advantage of them; women who, depressed by their sinfulness, take up with every new religious fad that calls itself “truth.” They get exploited every time and never really learn. These men are like those old Egyptian frauds Jannes and Jambres, who challenged Moses. They were rejects from the faith, twisted in their thinking, defying truth itself. But nothing will come of these latest impostors. Everyone will see through them, just as people saw through that Egyptian hoax.

Isaiah 33:6 says - He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; a fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

Biblical Utter, and Utterance
Psalm 78

A psalm of instruction - of warnings not to repeat acts of sins Israel committed in the past but to remember God’s saving acts and marvelously persistent grace and remembering to keep Faith with him and his covenant. Here as elsewhere in the Word of God, trust in and loyalty to God on the part of God’s people are covenant matters. They do not spring from abstract principles or from general human consciousness (such as feelings of dependence on “God” or a sense of awe in the presence of the holy), but they result from remembering God’s mighty saving acts. Correspondingly, unfaithfulness is blameworthy because it contemptuously disregards all God’s wonderful acts in his people’s behalf.

This also relates to our sins today of disregarding all God has done and all that he can do for the faithful.

This is written in the style of wisdom for all generations. Our children must hear our fathers in the faith down through years so that they may be faithful to the Lord. Wisdom is the only thing that can defeat this terrible attack on our culture. The devil and his members of evil are using the most dividing vehicle known to this country which is racism. Every evil work rides the train of division. Witchcraft is the poison that tries to kill the works of God in America, and around the world.

Let’s go back to the Word of God. Underlying these thoughts are expressions of Jesus teaching on how evil works in the souls of men. This raises the question of whether ministers today are influenced by prophetic use of wisdom language, or by hearing this that arouse feelings in our carnal distant nature.

All this has specialized uses - those reflected in how violent the acts are, and how uncontrolled they become. It would appear that an evil spirit has moved from person to person increasing their anger and rage, producing violence in almost a spirit natural way.

The Lord’s saving and delivering acts and covenant statutes - both must be taught, and in relationship, for together they remain the focal point for faith and obedience down through the generations.

The devil has set the stage for a take over. He is using principles he has worked hard to establish such as materialism, selfishness, lazy, drug abuse, and sexual immorality of all varieties.

Believers are going to have to sacrifice their easy life and take some real hard hits for the gospel.

We must work the works of Jesus so that his kingdom might spread through all persons lives.

The kingdom is of such great value that all individuals should be willing to give up all he has in order to gain it. I have personally experienced this it is painful only for a time, but the reward in personal is so filling.

Jesus did not ever imply that one can purchase the kingdom with money and good deeds. The treasure is not hidden in great preaching, or charismatic personalities but the honest wisdom, and knowledge of God’s word.

The answer is found in the Word of God. Divine instructions Col. 4:2-6

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful and pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may continue to proclaim the mystery of Christ for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders, make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Finally ministers of gospel, by stirring up your congregation to get involved in all the evil and division going on today, you might lose respect from God and your people. By supporting all these acts of evil (thinking that they like you because you are supporting their side) it may have backfire results, when they come to their Biblical senses. Never the less God Bless you and your ministries.

Yours In Love,
Dr. James P. Norman Jr.

P.S.

Left up to me the current events in our country today I would say it is the work of a type of Anti-Christ with worldwide money and power. Buying people to thinking that they are totally against there own creation, or desire to get involved in.

There are two powerful spirits working together, one is hate for all that is good, and the other is revenge/self hate. The first one has billions of dollars and his evil hands are everywhere, the other has character flaws that are pure evil filled with hate and revenge. They both feel that something has been disrespected in their lives, and the devil is working through them. We must all pray for a mighty move God on this planet.
