The Supernatural Christian

We live in a time when we are becoming more aware that the supernatural is all around us. Our society celebrates vampire chronicles and sorcery like never before. I don't have to name them, as I am sure they're in the forefront of your mind (if you don't live under a rock). As a result, we find that we are realizing a world that is unseen and we could be exposing ourselves to spirits.

Since my young adult years, I have been aware of my supernatural gifts. I was fortunate enough to be immersed in a church that frequented the grace gifts as a lifestyle. Grace gifts were not considered a side show spectacle, but it was apparent to me in my early years of faith, that the supernatural authority really was the gift of God (Luke 10:19).  I would hear of stories of my grandmothers and great aunts calling on the name of Jesus on their way home from church. They would testify how they would see angels apprehend would-be thieves and render them helpless in fear. I would hear how God supernaturally endowed a wife with strength enough to lift up a car that fell on her husband.

We need above all to have the gifts in manifestation today. We are coming to a point in our lives that when we can no longer simply rely on our own wares, intelligence and abilities. While our government is in talks about fiscal cliffs, we would be wise to begin now to cultivate our relationship with God. Knowing that it is faith that brings Heavenly cause to earth and not the need or volume of the emergency. An emergency on our part is not the catalyst to manifestation, but rather it is faith and standing on His promises.

Surely if we offer God our trust, we will allow ourselves to be able to rise above the realm of our physical senses and cast mountains into the sea. Though we may have seen unprecedented problems, we must show to the spirit world that we want Jesus to be the head of the church. This is His rightful place, but we must (by our actions and not empty words) allow His essence to be revealed in us.

There is a curse of "carnal comparisons”. The curse is defined by comparing rules of our traditions to the ways of the supernatural. Watch out, so that no one will take you captive by means of philosophy and empty deceit, following human tradition which accords with the elements of the world. By doing so, we put a glass ceiling on the ability of the fullness of God's power in our lives. Not because He isn't able to do the extraordinary, it is because He will not violate our will. What the mountains that need to be cast out of your life? Debt? Sickness? Depression? Whatever it is, God has the antonym (resolution) in His word. Would you be a partner with Him, and set your mind to agree with what He says about you? If so, then you are on your way to realizing your supernatural ability. Not sure if it will ever become a movie franchise or TV series, but you will certainly encounter something new.
