THE POWER OF PASTORS

The Power of Pastors Pastors have eminence power to represent God. Pastors stand in the gap between God and man.  Jesus is the truth about God, and Jesus is the power of God to man.  God has given to man the power to man war on the enemies of the church. There is always a band of evil warriors willing to divide the church on issues no matter small or large ( Eph. 16:1-24; 1 Tim. 5:17; Eph. 1:1-23; Ezk. 30). As churches we really only have one direction to take, that is to go back to the  standards which are holiness, righteousness, and sanctification. If we don’t go back to God’s plan we can’t go forward and develop the church to meet the attacks developed by Satan (while for this modern world).  As church leaders we have authority to see into the church and must believe that we are involved in Spiritual Warfare. The very morals of the church have been invaded by immoral satanic spirits. We need to change from material, and look to arming the saints for th...

How to Get the Christian's Power of Attorney

1. Believe the gospel that everything it teaches is for you. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) 2. Repent and turn to God and renounce all sin and wrong doing. (Acts 26:18) 3. Obey the gospel and seek for the enduement of power from on high. (Luke 11:13; 24:49; Acts 1:4-15, 2:38-39; 5:32) 4. Yield to God, walk and live in the Spirit. (Romans 8:1-16; Galatians 5:16-26) 5. Learn to pray in faith without wavering. (James 1:5-8; Hebrew 11:6) 6. Have faith in your mission in life to fully represent God. (Acts 1:8) 7. Learn to use the name of Jesus according to the word of God.  (Acts 3:16; 4:12; John 14:12-15; Colossians 3:17; and John 15:7,16) In starting out to use the name of Jesus one must have a desire to be a true and unselfish representative of God.  You must start to use the name in every phase of life and not be denied if there is any resistance to the answer.  As victories come, the faith and confidence will grow until there will be a normal faith in the name of Jesus...

How Healing the Sick, Casting Out Demons & Evangelism Work Together

Exodus 15:26 reveals I am Jehovah that Healeth Thee. The purpose of this message is to establish within you the fact that beyond all shadow of doubt God Wants to Heal You.   God has no tolerance for the destructive behavior of wicked Christians, but rather they turn to righteousness.   He has placed in the Body of Christ that will, the raising the dead, healing the sick, destroying the false prophets, and can see revival spread out through their land.   Those who accepted walked with great favor, great anointing, and God was their friend.   The early Church believed in miracles.   They prayed for miracles and expected them.   This was not expectancy by a few, but by everyone, and according to their faith, it was done unto them: They were healed. Everyone.   They had never seen our Lord Jesus Christ refuse anyone.   He never turned any away.   None ever applied to Him for healing in vain.   The early Church was following His...

Holy Spirit Security and the Godhead

An important work of the Spirit of God clearly is to protect God’s people.   Christians are protected by the power of God and identified as His because He put His Spirit on them as a seal.   This security is a great source of assurance for Christians.   Those who live with such security and assurance, quite understandably experience boldness, joy, and peace as a result the Spirit is also a deposit, or down payment.   A deposit is simply the first payment.   The remainder will come later.   The Gift of the Spirit is God’s first payment to His people.   The remainder of His blessings will be given later in the life to come.   This Spirit’s presence with us is a foretaste of the life to come.   Humanity Restored   God will redeem or fully restore believers in Christ so we perfectly conform to His will.   Until then, the Spirit in our lives guarantees we will be redeemed.   The Church, the saints love “does” more than it “fee...

Faith and Justification

I have heard some believers say, “I am conscious of no fault,” but that does not in itself make certain, or sure that God's acquittal respects this particular charge.  This poses an interesting corollary relative to the positions of faith and justification.   The usage of the Epistle of James does not contradict this which states that we are justified only by such faith that makes us faithful and produces good works. 1 Corinthians 4:4 states "For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord." James 2:21,23, and 24 asserts "was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Further and careful examination reveals that James is denouncing a dead faith,...

Empowered By God

Acts 1:8 says “ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” One of the most common excuses for not becoming a Christian is the fear of failure to live by faith in the Christian life.   Besides overlooking the fact that men cannot be saved on the basis of good works, this objection neglects the truth that God provides the power to live the faith life. Before Christ was crucified He promised the coming of the Holy Spirit to help believers.   The subsequent events of the Book of Acts supply ample evidence of the fulfillment of this prophecy. Let’s stop here for a moment. This is the exit point which every denomination grabs the power, makes it human, and not supernatural. They will use and rely on water baptism as the basis and not Holy Spirit power. It takes generations of developing and working with the power, and autho...

The Power of Faith

Of course there is nothing really “magic” about faith, except that the results of it are so remarkable that it appears to be as magic to the eye of the uninitiated. Faith is power that brought the worlds into existence. Faith is the power that changes the impossible to the possible. Faith turns defeat into victory, sickness into health, darkness into light and dreams into reality. Now God has given a measure of His faith to every born-again man or woman. And all may use it if they will (2 Peter 1:1-4). Indeed, even the nominal Christians are exercising human faith in the natural and psychic spheres. Jesus once said, “The children of the world are in their generation wiser than the children of light (Luke 16:8).” Not wiser in eternity, of course, but wiser for the time in which they live. His words have a strange application today in the cults that invoke the laws of faith which properly belong only to the children of God! They have bravely moved into the faith realm, using that powe...
